Take a journey to the most isolated archipelago in the world to learn how ancestral Hawaiians shared ecological and cultural observations and knowledge across time and space. This presentation and hands-on activity will explore the stones of this storied landscape, and the oral traditions and relationships contemporary Hawaiians maintain to Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument. Weʻll conclude by designing kiʻi pōhaku (petroglyphs) that represent you, your family, or your community.
