Funding Opportunity: Supporting Seafood-related Businesses Impacted by COVID-19
Woods Hole Sea Grant Joins with Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries on Seafood Marketing Grant Program.
Do you have an idea that will support the commercial seafood and fishing industries and communities?
This year, the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries (DMF) Seafood Marketing Grant Program is partially funded by Woods Hole Sea Grant (WHSG), enabling a total of $150,000 to be awarded to projects supporting the seafood industry which has been so negatively affected by COVID-19.
Projects can focus on (but are not limited to) increasing awareness and preference for seafood from Massachusetts, economic development, resilience on the working waterfront, and strategies that can help strengthen Massachusetts businesses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Proposals should support the commercial seafood and fishing/aquaculture industries and communities through education, advocacy, promotion, research, events, partnerships, and marketing, among other strategies.
Two-page proposals are due on October 15 and the contract end date is June 30, 2023. The summary of the RFR and additional details are available on our website.
