Tale of Two Capes -- 2 videos

WHOI Sea Grant developed two new videos for “A Tale of Two Capes,” the museum exhibit our program created for the Cape Cod Cape Verde Museum and Cultural Center. WHOI Sea Grant is partnering once again with Cape Cod Cooperative Extension and five participating towns to offer free boat shrink wrap recycling. From April 1 through June 30, Cape residents can bring clean, rolled shrink wrap to the transfer station in Bourne, Falmouth, Chatham, Eastham and Wellfleet. No sticker required.  Get the details!

WHOI Sea Grant welcomed Northeastern University coop student Meredith McGowan in January to work on events and activities related to Cape Cod Coastal Resilience Week (more details to come!). Meredith is a junior majoring in marine science and will be in residence with our program until mid-June.

In January, WHOI Sea Grant welcomed our new fiscal officer, Erin Chase. Erin is an experienced financial analyst with strong budget management, financial analysis and project management skills. She settled in Falmouth three years ago, after having worked for large and small companies in the United States and internationally.

WHOI Sea Grant's newest extension team member is Bryan McCormack, who replaced Greg Berman as the coastal processes and hazard specialist in February.  Bryan comes from a research background at UMass Boston and the Center for Coastal Studies where he worked on nearshore geomorphology and sediment transport, as well as acoustic mapping and object detection.
